Curriculum
The official curriculum of Love Bug Learning Center is the Creative Curriculum - an award winning curriculum developed for preschool success by Teaching Strategies. The Creative Curriculum utilizes learning centers and thematic units to engage children in an active learning process and promotes progress in all developmental areas.
GELDS
The GELDS promote quality learning experiences for children by establishing a set of appropriate, attainable standards that are flexible enough to support children's individual rates of development, approaches to learning and cultural context.
Teachers develop weekly lesson plans using the new Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS) research which is based upon early learning standards for children birth to age five.
We believe that when learning is fun, children learn best. Therefore; we focus on delivering engaging activities that are both developmentally and age appropriate.
Daily schedules include large group activities, outside exploration and play, independent learning and small group interactions. Daily schedules and lesson plans for each age group are posted in classrooms and are available for parents' viewing.
